Have A Jolly Good (Digital)
Christmas!

Blog written by Tara Nichols

It’s a wonderful time of year … Christmas cheer is in the air, holiday catchups are planned, and everybody is looking forward to a day or two (at least) of relaxation, food and merriment.

Amidst the festivities, it is still important to make sure your digital signage is hitting the spot and creating a positive impact. Here are three ways to help you have a jolly good digital Christmas!

1. Make your content merry and bright

It’s Christmas! Create ambience in your retail store, restaurant or facility with attractive festive digital signage. Plan a break in your normal digital signage content to spread some festive cheer by running a Christmas poll or competition, or design eye-catching festive content to wish your customers a Merry Christmas. Our video below shows how easy it is with Scala Designer.

2. Plan ahead

Big Boxing Day or New Year sale coming up? An important new year announcement? Plan and schedule your digital signage content to automatically publish and update over the Christmas holiday period. Because no one wants to be mid-way through an enormous serve of Christmas pudding only to suddenly remember they forgot to hit ‘Publish’ on the Boxing Day Sale promotion!

3. Leverage higher foot traffic

People have returned to stores, restaurants, cafes and other public places in great numbers. We’ve already seen the retail rush over Thanksgiving in the US and Europe, and Dussehra and Diwali in India and other parts of Asia. Christmas will be no different. In Australia, for example, the Commonwealth Bank’s Household Spending Intention (HSI) Index is at its highest level since before the COVID-19 pandemic began, with retail leading consumer spending.

Use your digital signage to drive a bumper sales season, taking advantage of the increase in foot traffic by running more promotions, upselling and cross-selling, and driving incidental purchases through strategic content.
